Compared to other butt enhancing procedures, such as fat grafting (also known as a Brazilian Butt Lift), Sculptra® users see a significant augmentation while using a minimal amount of injectable product. Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable, which has traditionally been used to treat face wrinkles. By using the biocompatible synthetic material poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen simulator, Sculptra® Butt Lifts induce the growth of your own collagen around the injected product. This process leads to tighter, thicker skin, and a plumper outer appearance while reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and cellulite.

Next, patients will schedule one or more treatments over several months to receive a one-time injection. Before arriving in the office for each procedure, the Sculptra® will have been prepared by reconstituting the poly-L-lactic acid powder and sterilized water to guarantee ease of absorption into the body.

During each treatment in the comfort of CIDK Dubai clinic, the site of injection will be numbed by the application of a topical anesthetic to reduce all pain or discomfort. Once numb, the doctor will insert a blunt tip cannula into the desired area, and the Sculptra® product will be injected deep into the dermis, where collagen is produced. After injection, radiofrequency heat and ultrasound wave heat energy are applied to further stimulate growth of collagen. After three weeks, the poly-L-lactic acid powder will be absorbed into the body and stimulation of the dermis will be promoting collagen growth in the butt.

As the Sculptra® Butt Lift requires no surgery, there is no downtime associated with this procedure. Patients can return to their normal lifestyles within a day of receiving a Sculptra® Butt Lift. We do, however, recommend avoiding exercise for 24 hours after the procedure, as you may be sore. But, you can maintain most other activities immediately upon leaving our office.

Patients may have some minimal bruise marks at the site of injection, which can last for 7-10 days. But that’s it! Healing time for these depend on your body’s unique healing timeline but generally will pass in under a week.

Sculptra® procedures have been shown to cause complications in a minority of patients. These may include the formation of small nodules under the skin, leading to a somewhat uneven outer appearance. However, a doctor can easily resolve these bumps. We encourage patients to massage the injection site and surrounding area for the first five to seven days after receiving each procedure.

Results of the Sculptra® Butt Lift vary based on several factors, such as the number of and time in-between procedures received, lifestyle, health and physiology of the patient and receptibility to poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulation.

Most patients see results lasting two years after the final injection. However, a few patients may see the improvements last as long as five years or more.
