PROFHILO® Body

PROFHILO® is an ultrapure grade hyaluronic acid (HA) – an ingredient which is naturally found in the body but depletes with age. PROFHILO® was the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) based product designed for treating skin laxity. It has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market and the unique formulation contains different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid which work towards its Hydrolift® Action.

PROFHILO® Body is the only injectable treatment specifically indicated for treating skin laxity on body areas as opposed to the face. The body formulation is made of the same high purity hyaluronic acid as the facial product.

PROFHILO® Body Complementary Treatments

For optimum results, the range also includes:

• PROFHILO® Body Patch, designed to soothe and moisturise the skin post-treatment
• PROFHILO® Body Cream to use at home in order to further firm, tone and hydrate the skin

As a stabilised product PROFHILO® lasts in the skin around 28 days. During this time the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of HA. This results in significant tissue improvement.

For best results, we recommend two sets of injections The second session of PROFHILO® will be about 4 weeks after the first treatment

The improvement in hydration develops within 2-4 weeks of the injections:

Only 10 points of injection for each area are needed. This reduces the possibility of bruises and swelling, while maximising the diffusion of the product in the tissues.

PROFHILO® Body is injected using very fine needles in pre-determined points just under the skin. You may feel a sting as the needle goes in but it passes very quickly. Treatment is usually relatively painless, but we can offer numbing/ice if required prior to treatment.

The injections are relatively quick. Depending on the area treated, usually around 20 minutes.

However, appointments are longer as we always carry out a full consultation and assessment prior to treatment. We’ll also give comprehensive advice about aftercare.
